Q. What is the cost to use Career Market as an employer?

A. Recruiters / employers can test the database and get Compatibility Scores on candidates at any time without cost. There is a cost to view a Candidate Profile as well as a cost to request a candidate’s contact details. Please register as a recruiter / employer and go to pricing for complete details.

Q. Do I get charged as a recruiter / employer if a candidate refuses to release their contact details?
A. Yes, the only time that you will not get charged is if contact cannot be made with your targeted candidate because the mobile phone number and email are incorrect. Please promote the benefits of your opportunity to the candidate when requesting contact details.

Q. What happens if there are no candidates with high Compatibility Scores for an opportunity that I am recruiting for?
A. We are working hard to build our database and it is growing every day. Having said that, we will not always have the ideal candidate for every job. Please consider registering your opportunity on our Candidate Alert service to be informed of valid candidates as they register as a job seeker.

Q. How do I know that the job seeker profile is accurate?

A. The information is only as good as the input from the job seeker. Career Market views each job seeker submission for irregularities prior to posting it online. If you are concerned about any profile received, Please email us at qualitycontrol@careermarket.com.au, we will investigate your enquiry and credit your purchase as required.

Q. Is there any cost to participate in your Candidate Alert service?
A. No, we will inform you of new Career Market registrations that fit your position requirements on a schedule of your choice (daily, weekly, monthly).

Q. What does it cost to register as a job seeker?
A. There is no cost to the job seeker. The website is funded by recruiters & employers using the service.

Q. Can I change my details once I register?
A. You can change your details or delete your profile as an active job seeker at any time.

Q. How long will it take to get my Candidate Profile online?
A. Your submission goes through a quality control process and will be activated the next business day.

Q. Can a Recruiter / Employer find out who I am or where I work without with out my approval?
A. No, not if you respond to the 29 candidate profile questions as requested and do not provided any unsolicited contact details in the “free text” fields.

Q. How long do I have to respond to a request to release my contact details as a job seeker?
A. You have 48 hours to respond. If you do not respond, a message of non-interest is sent to the recruiter / employer after 48 hours.

Q. Can I have more than one registration as a job seeker?
A. No, because only one set of responses to the profile questions are accurate. Only one email address will be accepted as identification. If the same email address has already been registered, the second registration will not be validated. If you are sharing a family email address you can register to get a Yahoo!, Hotmail or other email account at no cost through their individual web sites.

Q. Can I participate as a job seeker without an active mobile phone number or email address?

A. No, we use the email and mobile phone number as both a means of identification and contact.

Q. Why have I only had a few views on my job seeker profile?

A. The number of views is based on a number of factors including market conditions, your experience and expectations as well as the industry that you are in.
